General Objective

The project LDA-NEXT – Empowering Local Development Agents for a Cohesive Europe aims to strengthen the role of local development agents and agencies across Europe, particularly in rural and remote territories. To achieve this, it seeks to enhance their professional competences, identify good practices, and develop shared tools that support their work. The project also aims to foster cooperation among European organisations and promote the institutional recognition of these professionals within territorial governance structures. Through the creation of a European roadmap and a collaborative network, LDA-NEXT aims to reinforce the impact of local development on economic growth, social cohesion, and the sustainability of territories.

Specific Objectives

  • Identificar boas prácticas e modelos de éxito en desenvolvemento local en Europa e elaborar un marco de competencias que reforcen a formación e o desenvolvemento profesional dos Axentes de Desenvolvemento Local.
  • Crear unha rede europea de profesionais e axencias de desenvolvemento local que facilite o intercambio de coñecementos, a cooperación entre territorios e a aprendizaxe mutua.
  • Impulsar o recoñecemento institucional dos Axentes de Desenvolvemento Local e das súas axencias, promovendo a súa integración nas estratexias de desenvolvemento territorial e reforzando o seu papel nas políticas públicas locais.

Activities

  1. Project coordination and management. Organisation of the work among partners, monitoring of activities, evaluation of results, and quality assurance throughout the entire project implementation.
  1. Identification of good practices in local development.. Analysis of successful models and experiences in different European territories to identify tools, methodologies, and approaches that can be transferred to other contexts.
  1. Development of a European roadmap for Local Development Agents.. Creation of a competence framework and a roadmap (EU LDA Roadmap) aimed at strengthening the role of these professionals and facilitating the transfer of innovative solutions between territories.
  1. Dialogue with public authorities and territorial stakeholders. Organisation of exchange and collaboration activities with public administrations and other key actors to promote the institutional recognition of local development agencies and professionals.
  1. Communication, dissemination, and sustainability of results. Implementation of a communication strategy to increase the visibility of the project, share its outcomes, and ensure their transfer and continuity beyond the project’s duration
