Project total grant: 115.213,32 €

Dates: 01/01/2025 – 31/12/2026 (24 months)

General Objective

To promote gender equality at the municipal level by updating a digital platform and promoting co-responsible policies for the distribution of time between men and women in work, family and personal spheres. To this end, political leaders and municipal staff will undergo training, good practices will be shared, and the network of municipalities committed to gender equality will be strengthened.

Specific Objectives

The specific objectives of the project are:

  • Ensure sound financial and technical management of the project in accordance with European Commission requirements and quality management standards.
  • To develop and implement an innovative tool based on the Badge that promotes early childhood education and long-term care services, addresses gender stereotypes and enables municipalities and other supra-municipal local authorities to effectively integrate an intersectional gender perspective into all their internal operations and territorial policies, as well as monitoring and evaluating these policies and actions. The main objective of this instrument is to reduce the imbalance between men's and women's work, family and personal lives in their territory.
  • To provide training for politicians and technical teams in municipalities and other local authorities, encouraging them to adopt an intersectional gender perspective in all their actions and policies. The training will also cover how to monitor measures to reduce the gender gap in time usage.
  • To promote mutual learning and the exchange of good practices, as well as cooperation, between different stakeholders, in order to advance gender equality in Spanish and EU local communities. This will be achieved by strengthening the network of municipalities committed to shared responsibility for reconciling work, family life and personal life.
  • To raise awareness of the project among politicians and technical teams in municipalities and other supra-municipal local authorities, with a view to promoting intersectional gender mainstreaming, work-life balance, and reducing the gender gap. To engage additional potential stakeholders and promote the new label within and beyond the project territory. To raise awareness of gender mainstreaming among the general public and the media.
